PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS - What are your options if you receive a below standard rating; What are your options if you receive negative comments; When should you file a formal grievance; How to organize a rebuttal statement; The importance of Work Performance Standards; What are management's responsibilities during the reporting period.
  3. ATTENDANCE & LEAVE - What are your rights for annual and sick leave usage; What constitutes sick leave abuse; What are your options if you are accused of abuse of leave; The ins and outs of Family Medical Leave; Your rights under the Catastrophic Leave policy; How does leave without pay affect your benefits; What qualifies for Administrative Leave with Pay.
  4. ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION - A quick-draw discussion on any concerns or questions you may have. The participants lead the direction on the many subject matters and provide input into on-the-job events.
  5. RESOLVING WORKPLACE ISSUES - Delegation or Grievance; When to do petitions; When to do informational pickets; How to compile evidence.
  6. LAYOFF RIGHTS - Seniority calculations; Retirement buyout; What happens to your benefits; Re-employment rights (This workshop is generally given during crucial times of layoff for those affected).
  7. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS - How are your rights established? This program is a general overview of your rights and how to use the Nevada Administrative Code.
  8. ORGANIZING - How the committee structure builds the union. Building a comprehensive campaign.
  9. UNION STEWARD - Communication; Representation; Organizing - A vital role in any union is the Agency "Union Steward."
  10. POLITICAL ACTION - How to run an effective campaign; Voter registration; Resolution process; Legislative action.
